The Arvest Foundation has awarded a $3,000 donation to Children's Musical Theatre in Bartlesville to help fund a new exterior sign that will increase the organization's visibility and strengthen its connection with the community.

The new sign will be installed on the north side of the Children's Musical Theatre studio along Hensley Boulevard, a heavily traveled roadway. The signage is intended to welcome students and their families while raising awareness of the organization's programs among passing motorists.

Children's Musical Theatre provides educational programs that teach students the skills needed to perform in musical theater productions while expanding their appreciation of the performing arts through exposure to live theater. In addition to developing stage skills, the organization emphasizes confidence, teamwork and creativity while encouraging screen-free activities for young people.

The donation was presented by Arvest Bank Bartlesville Region President David Nickel, Branch Sales Manager Tanya Stokes and Real Estate Loan Advisor DeMarco Hudson to Children's Musical Theatre Artistic Director Roberta Eberhard and participants in the organization's summer camp.

"We are honored to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation," Stokes said. "Children's Musical Theatre continues to set the standard for the performing arts in our community and teaches children important, life-long skills and a love of the arts."

Eberhard says the new sign will help increase public awareness of the organization's mission and programs.

"Every day, thousands of people drive past our building without realizing the incredible things happening inside," Eberhard said. "This new sign will help us share our story with the community and invite even more children to experience the confidence, friendships, and life skills that come from participating in theatre. We're thankful to the Arvest Foundation for helping make CMT more visible so we can continue enriching the lives of youth for years to come."
