Talking season continues, as the SEC Media Days stepped off yesterday morning in Tampa Bay. OU head coach Brent Venables and some Sooner standouts took the podium to talk about the fifth season of Venables in Norman.

Oklahoma will return about 65% of its offensive production, one of the highest numbers in the conference, albeit for a club that excelled on defense a year ago.

The Sooner run game struggled in 2025. OU averaged just over 115 rushing yards a game, which was the worst total in Norman since 2001.

Venables talks about getting Oklahoma going on the ground.

Game one for the Sooners will be against UTEP on Friday, Sept. 4 in Norman.
