The Doenges Toyota Indians dropped their D-BAT league tournament opener Tuesday night to United Ag and Turf.

Bartlesville fell at Palmer Field in Oklahoma City, 9-2.

The Indians saw struggles with the bats throughout the game and found themselves in a hole. Bartlesville got down 6-0 in the fourth before recording their first hit of the contest.

The Indians got their first run after Joel Perez scored on a wild pitch.

The second hit of the inning came from Henry Calderon, he drove in Bodie Clark with a pop fly that snuck in fair territory.

Bartlesville finished the night with just two hits. United Ag and Turf struck for three more runs to stretch the lead to seven. Four Bartlesville pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts and 10 walks.

The loss takes the Indians out of contention to win the D-BAT tournament. They will play a consolation doubleheader on Wednesday at Oklahoma Christian University to wrap up the tournament. The doubleheader starts at 3:30 p.m.
