Winget a Go Even With Dead Period

Don’t forget this week is the OSSAA Dead Period, which means no athletes actively in high school sports can take part in any activities at school-owned facilities.
This rule has caused some issues in the past for the Glen Winget Tournament.
Bartlesville’s summer baseball tournament has taken place every year around the 4th of July holiday since 1959. That makes this summer’s the 67th edition of the Winget.
The tournament has been able to operate with Bruins still involved because it now serves as a qualifier for a national tournament, the Stan Musial World Series, which will be later in July.
No activities also means no 7-on-7 or summer pride workouts for football teams statewide.
