Dewey Baseball Nears 3A State Tournament

Dewey Bulldogger baseball is nearing their first appearance in the state tournament since 2014.

The Bulldoggers advanced to the state tournament after an area championship in Stigler on Friday. In a best-of-three series, Dewey lost the first game and won the next two.
 
 
The Bulldoggers entered the area series as the 10-seed out of 16 and beat the 7-seed in Stigler. Washington is next on the docket as the 2-seed. The Warriors enter the state tournament with an overall record of 30-7. Dewey enters at 30-9.
 
Thursday's contest starts at 6:30 p.m. from Norman North High School.
