Nowata Golf Completes Day One of State Tourney

Nowata golf sits in ninth place after the first day of the 2A state tournament at KickingBird Golf Course in Edmond.
The Ironmen are twelve shots back of Summit Christian for eighth place on the leaderboard. Okarche is the overall leader through the first two rounds.
Individually, Nowata is led by Jackson Hurd, he sits at 16th individually at 156. Hurd shot a 76 in round two, four shots better than his first round. Kason Summers is 32nd on the leaderboard, nine shots back of Hurd. Brett Malone, Ty Williams and Caleb Woolman follow respectively for Nowata.
The Ironmen will play their final 18 holes of the season Tuesday morning in Edmond starting at 9:10 a.m. Nowata will tee off from hole 10 to begin each round.
