Lady Bruins in Area on Thursday

High school basketball whips back into form on Thursday, as we have only a handful of teams remaining in the postseason across Northeast Oklahoma.
The Bartlesville High girls play in their first Area Tournament in seven years Thursday night, as BHS takes a longer drive to Shawnee to face Jenks in a win-or-go-home ballgame.
Bartlesville will have to win Thursday and again on Saturday to punch its ticket to the 6A State Tournament.
The Lady Bruins are coming off a tough loss to Muskogee in their Regional championship game last Saturday. After competing against the Roughers in their final regular season matchup, Muskogee beat Bartlesville by 32 on Saturday.
Head coach Justyn Shaw says his team has bounced back from the loss.
BHS takes on a Jenks team that has struggled down the back half of the season. That includes a 53-35 loss to Bartlesville at home back on January 30.
Jenks is 5-5 in its last 10 games.
Last month at Jenks Bartlesville held the two Trojan front line players to only 11 points after they scored a combined 32 during a win at Bruin Field House in mid-December.
Shaw talks about Bartlesville’s defensive game plan.
A 7:30 tip Thursday evening from Shawnee, Bartlesville and Jenks on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.
