Pawhuska was hoping to keep its season alive in regional consolation bracket action on Friday afternoon against Fairview. Unfortunatley, the Yellowjackets edged Pawhuska, 59-55 ending Pawhuska's season.

The Huskies gave a great effort against a good Fairview team. Pawhuska led 14-11 at the end of the first quarter and while the Jackets took a 27-25 lead at halftime, they never allowed them to get any seperation.

Down six with less than two minutes remaining, this sequence was crucial for giving the Huskies an opportunity.

On the ensuing possession, Fairview was content to control the ball and force Pawhuska to foul them. After two made free throws gave the Jackets a three point advantage, the Huskies had an opportunity to tie it, but missed the three-point basket.

Jaden Spicer, Jenson Snodgrass and Antwine Hamilton were all in double figures for Pawhuska. Pawhuska's season ends with a record of 14-12.

The Lady Huskies will play for a regional championship at 6 p.m. against the Fairview Lady Yellowjackets. That is a game you can hear on 99.1 FM KPGM and audio coverage will be available at KPGMTV.com.
