OKWU Meets Southwestern in KCAC Semifinals

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball is back in action on Saturday evening for the semifinals of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.
OKWU got past Avila in the quarterfinals on Thursday evening, 76-59. Avila entered the contest with a record of 17-12 as the 8-seed in the conference tournament. Southwestern College (KS) is next in the semifinals, with an overall record of 21-8 as the 5-seed. Head coach Donnie Bostwick talks about the impressive nature of the KCAC.
The Eagles have won six straight since falling to Southwestern in early February by three. OKWU closed out the regular season with an 88-83 win at McPherson College last Saturday. Bostwick talks about that game.
As far as Saturday night's contest goes, the Eagles and Moundbuilders have met twice this season. The Eagles took the first matchup on Dec. 10, 81-76, with Southwestern taking the second meeting at home on Feb. 4, 83-80.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. from the Mueller Sports Center in Bartlesville. Coverage can be heard on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.
