Nowata basketball is in an elimination game against Tonkawa on Friday evening in Tonkawa.
 
The Ironmen fell in the regional semifinals to Fairland on Tuesday to drop into the consolation bracket. The Ironmen have to win two straight games to make it to the area tournament.
 
Head coach Derick Ott talks about avoiding adding extra pressure in elimination games.
 
A season ago, Nowata was in this position and found themselves in the consolation championship game the next day with a win over Pawhuska. The Ironmen take on a Tonkawa bunch on Friday that is 12-12. They fell to No. 18 Fairview in their district championship game, 52-28.
