Oologah lost to defending state champion Lincoln Christian 81-31 in the first round of the regional tournament. The loss moves Oologah into the consolation side of the double-elimination bracket.
“They’re the defending state champs for a reason,” Oologah’s coach said. “We took one on the chin. But I told the girls after the game that we won’t play another team as good as them.”
Oologah will face either Jay or Inola in the second round and must win two games to keep its season alive. “Regroup, refocus and go win two games,” the coach said. “I like our chances against Jay or Inola, but we have to go out and take it. Nothing comes easy in the playoffs.
