Scott Martin Named Head Football Coach at Nowata

Scott Martin has been named the new head football coach of the Nowata Ironmen, after a special meeting of the Nowata Board of Education on Tuesday evening.
Martin, a product of Colcord, Okla. has been a head coach at the high school level for 12 seasons and has 29 career wins. Martin has led eight different high schools. He comes to Nowata from Northwestern Oklahoma State University where he served as the offensive line coach.
Martin takes over a Nowata program that finished 2-8 last season behind former head coach Chance Juby. Juby was dismissed from his position on Dec. 29, 2025, due to pending felony charges in Rogers County District Court of engaging in prostitution within 1,000 feet of a school. Juby's next court appearance is March 9.
