Oklahoma Wesleyan’s men’s basketball team is headed to the NAIA Tournament officially, as the Eagle men clinched the one-seed in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference with a win over York, Nebraska on Saturday.

It was a sweep for OKWU over the Panthers.

On the women’s side, the Lady Eagles won closer one, 82-75.

Wesleyan used good free throw shooting from Khassidy and Khamille Warr in the second half to pull away. Gracie Alexander scored a team-high 20 points.

Kamryn Pheonix scored 13 of her 14 points in the second half, including this basket and the foul.

OKWU wins its second in a row and improves to 6-14 overall.

On the men’s side, the Eagles blasted York, 86-50. OKWU held the Panthers to under 25-percent shooting for most of the evening.

17 different OKWU players scored. Wesleyan forced 19 York turnovers, including this one that led to an easy basket.

With the win and a Friends victory over McPherson later in the evening, OKWU clinched the one-seed in the KCAC tournament and an automatic berth into the NAIAs.

Oklahoma Wesleyan can win the conference outright on the men’s side with a win on Wednesday at home against Evangel.
