Another Monday means we have another Patriot Auto Area Athlete of the Week.

This week we head to the pool to speak with Bartlesville High senior Ashlynn Taylor, one of the Lady Bruin standouts.

Taylor has swam at the splash club for several years and has been on the BHS swim team the entirety of her high school career, which includes multiple big-time team highlights.

Taylor talks about her swimming background. 

Taylor swims mostly short races. She says the 100 breaststroke is her favorite of the races she competes in. She won a Regional championship in the race last week.

Taylor’s favorite moments swimming at Bartlesville have come each of the past couple of varsity seasons.

She details her favorite moments as a Lady Bruin. 

As far as her future is concerned, Taylor knows her plan of study and where she wants to go to continue swimming.

Bartlesville High gets into the state competition this weekend in 6A swim in Edmond. Both the BHS teams will have a decent chance to get on the podium, although Jenks will be the heavy favorite to take the crown.
