Dewey Hoops Rolls Past Nowata

Dewey hoops dominated the rematch of the Adam Hooper Rivalry against Nowata on Tuesday night.
The Lady Bulldoggers used a big second quarter to roll to their fourth win in a row, 55-19, the Dewey guys rolled as well, 79-58.
In the girl's game, Dewey started off slow offensively before getting hot in the second frame. After leading only 9-2 after the first, Dewey outscored the Lady Ironmen 22-3 in the second to put the game away.
The Lady Bulldoggers with the win improve to 16-7. The Lady Ironmen drop to 6-14.
On the boy's side, Nowata held an early edge in the first quarter before a hot start cooled down. The Ironmen opened the game on a 10-2 run. This Ty Williams three-pointer was part of Nowata's big start.
Dewey found answers in the second quarter, outscoring Nowata 24-12 to lead by nine at halftime, 36-27. The Bulldoggers led by 19 points through three quarters, with this sequence ending the third.
The win clinches the Northeast Valley Conference championship for Dewey with a perfect 8-0 conference record. The Bulldoggers have won 10 straight and are 20-2 overall. Nowata falls to 11-10.
Dewey is back in action on Friday night in Oologah for a rematch with the Mustangs. Nowata will take the rest of the week off and return on Monday for a home game against Ketchum.
