Dewey Meets WCS in County Battle

Lots of high school basketball returns on Tuesday night, as the Dewey Bulldoggers return to the court for their first game out of winter break.
Dewey takes on a Washington County foe in Wesleyan Christian School on the road.
The Bulldoggers enter the contest at 8-1 overall. Dewey closed out the first half of the season on a three game winning streak. They won each game by double-digits. Despite the strong start, head boys coach Lance Knight talked about his team's approach to this phase of the season.
On the other side, Wesleyan Christian enters at 7-2 overall. Like Dewey, the Mustangs have also won their last three. WCS beat Regent Prep on Friday, 52-50.
Excluding tournament games, this is the highest classified team that Wesleyan Christian School will play this season. After playing 2A Caney Valley (OK) on Dec. 13 and falling by 12, head boys coach Steven Cooks talked about how his team benefits from playing teams in higher classifications.
The girls game between Dewey and WCS will get the evening started at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow around 7:30 p.m. Full coverage of the boys game can be heard on 104.9 - KRIG and KRIGTV.com.
