2025 in Sports: Historic Season for OKWU Fall

Fall sports at Oklahoma Wesleyan University had a historic season in 2025.
For the first time ever, both soccer teams and women's volleyball advanced to the final site of the NAIA national tournament in the same year.
In women's soccer, the Lady Eagles went the furthest they've ever gone in the national tournament. OKWU found themselves in the national semifinals before dropping their final match of the season. On top of that, the Lady Eagles also won the regular season and tournament championships in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Head coach Ivan Ristic said his team clicked at the right moment.
Men's soccer advanced to the round of 16 in the national tournament for the third year in a row after winning their sixth straight KCAC regular season and tournament title. The Eagles fell to William Penn University in the round of 16 to end their campaign at 19-1-3.

On the volleyball court, the Lady Eagles got hot at the right time to go back to the final site of the national tournament for the third year in a row. As the No. 4 seed in the KCAC tournament, OKWU successfully defended the conference tournament championship crown the hard way. The Lady Eagles were knocked out in the pool play rounds of nationals in Sioux City, Iowa.
