The Caney Valley Trojans are off to a hot start heading into the winter break.

The Trojans have won their last five and are currently 6-2 overall. Last season with a young group, the Trojans won six games all season. Each of the five wins on the current streak is by double-digits.

Head coach Tug Brinker talked about what's worked for his team so far.

Caney Valley is coming off a title in the Copan Shootout last week, and since then has picked up two more blowout wins over Barnsdall and Oklahoma Union.

Offensively, the Trojans are showing progression. Caney Valley has broken the 60 point mark four times this season, with two of those times coming in their last two games. Brinker talked about his team's offense.

The Trojans will return out of winter break on Jan. 8 for the Chelsea Tournament. Caney Valley will open the tournament against Chelsea.
