Nowata Hoops Falls to Wyandotte

Nowata basketball fell on the road to Wyandotte on Saturday night, 69-36.
Nowata had to play catch-up early in the ballgame. Wyandotte opened the game on a 14-0 run. This three-pointer by Adrian O'Dell ended that run.
The Ironmen closed out the first quarter on an 8-2 run and cut the deficit to five midway through the second. Wyandotte stretched it back out to 14 at the half, 34-20.
Offensive woes continued for Nowata to start the second half. Wyandotte opened the final two frames on a 24-0 run to lead by 38. Nowata did not score a point in the third quarter.
Nowata's offense came back to life in the fourth. This Ty Williams three-pointer helped generate offense in the second half.
On the girls side, the Lady Ironmen fell to the Lady Bears, 54-37. The Nowata girls head into winter break 2-6 overall.
The Nowata guys drop to 5-3 overall following Saturday's defeat.
Nowata returns on Jan. 6 for Commerce at home.
