Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball fell in both games to Bethel College on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles fell, 73-53, the Eagles suffered their first conference loss, 61-58.

In the women's game, the Lady Eagles kept pace with the Threshers. They led by one at the end of the first quarter, and trailed 34-30 at halftime.

OKWU made four three-pointers in the first half, including this one from Ashlyn Baker.

The Lady Eagles only scored 23 points in the second half, and got outscored 23-9 in the fourth quarter.

The loss drops the Lady Eagles to 4-7 overall and 1-6 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

On the men's side, the Eagles struggled to make shots from start to finish. In a defensive first half, OKWU maintained a one-point lead, 22-21. Bethel started heating up in the second half and took a 10 point lead with just under 10 minutes left in the game.

This three-pointer from Humberto Kentish, Jr. made it a one point game in the final three minutes.

That's as close as OKWU would get, as Bethel never gave up their lead.

The loss drops the Eagles to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in KCAC play. The loss ends a nine game winning streak.

The Lady Eagles will return on Tuesday for Oklahoma Panhandle State University at 2 p.m. at home. The men will take the entire winter break off and return on Jan. 3 for Bethany College.
