Hennesy Reflects on his Time at Pawhuska

Bartlesville football coach Matt Hennesy spent eight seasons at Pawhuska before making the trek east to Bartlesville earlier this week. Hennesy turned what had been an 0-10 football team into a 6-5 team during his first year at Pawhuska.
He led Pawhuska to the playoffs each year, including three state semifinal appearances. Looking back on his time there, Hennesy says he couldn't have asked for more.
Hennesy said he was fortunate to meet his wife in Pawhuska and was able to make several life-long friends. Hennesy said that made it difficult to leave, but he is proud of what he was able to do during his eight years at the helm.
Hennesy finished his tenure at Pawhuska with a 72-25 record.
