We are just a couple days into the Matt Hennesy era of Bartlesville High Bruin football, as Bartlesville Public Schools announced his hiring on Tuesday morning.

Hennesy mentioned that the first few weeks of the gig will be about meeting people and getting the community and guys at BHS excited about Bruin football. He had a meeting with current and potential players on Tuesday evening.

Hennesy talks about what he wants to accomplish.

Each of his last two head coaching stops Hennesy was able to take a program that had struggled to get off the mat to statewide prominence. Both Locust Grove and Pawhuska had swift turnarounds with one-loss seasons and deep runs into the playoffs after a few years.

Hennesy talks about what he wants out of the community and the high school over the next few weeks. 

There will be a meeting with Hennesy and BHS basketball coach Jake Christenson on Tuesday evening at the high school commons.
