OKWU Basketball Travels to Avila

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball is back in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday. Both basketball teams make the trip to Kansas City to take on Avila.
On the women's side, the Lady Eagles are still looking for their first conference win. They fell to Kansas Wesleyan last Saturday at home, 62-58, but turned things around last Tuesday against Haskell Indian Nations University in a 66-45 win.
Head coach Heidi Messer talked about the pieces coming together last week.
On the men's side, the Eagles are looking to stay hot. OKWU has won six straight and is unbeaten in KCAC play. They beat KWU last week, 77-64, and pulled out a comeback win this past Saturday against the University of Science and Arts at the Paycom Center, 82-78.
Avila enters the contest 7-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Head coach Donnie Bostwick talks about the Avila Eagles.
The Lady Eagles will get the evening at 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow around 7:30 p.m. Coverage of both games can be heard on Sports Talk, 99.1 FM - KPGM.
