Hennesy Relives Highlights of Wynnewood Win

The Pawhuska Huskies escaped with a 28-26 win over Wynnewood on Friday night. That win puts Pawhuska in the Class A-1 semifinals where they will take on Rejoice Christian next Friday.
Coach Matt Hennesy said in what was a tough road atmosphere, he was proud of the way his team fought until the very end.
The Savages made Pawhuska earn it, as Hennesy credited the Wynnewood coaching staff for coming out in a completely different look defensively from what they had seen on film. Trailing by four in the fourth quarter, Hennesy said the Huskies simply took what the defense gave them.
With the win, Pawhuska now has a week off to prepare for Rejoice Christian, a team they will face off against next Friday in Oologah. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. We will have much more on that matchup in the coming days.
