Oklahoma Wesleyan won an entertaining game over Texas Wesleyan on Saturday at home.

The Eagles topped the Rams, 73-67.

Neither side was able to build a double-digit lead but both sides got off to good starts offensively. Early on, the Eagles built a seven point lead, 21-14, at about the midpoint of the first half. TWU responded and took a nine point lead, 36-27, with just over three minutes left in the half. OKWU trailed at halftime, 41-40.

Malachi Okunbor hit two more three-pointers on the day, including this one to snap a 7-0 TWU run.

OKWU's defense prevailed in the second half. The Eagles held the Rams to 26 second half points to control the pace.

Tamaje Izuagbe again led the team in scoring, he finished with 19 points. He was the only Eagle in double figures, and it was his fourth straight game to start the season in double figures.

He threw down a dunk on a nice feed from Ethan Williams to give OKWU a late second half lead.

The win for Oklahoma Wesleyan improves their record to 3-1. Conference play is next, OKWU opens conference play next Saturday, Nov. 15 on the road for Tabor. That game will be a doubleheader, with the women starting the day off at 2 p.m. The men will follow at 4 p.m.
