Oklahoma Wesleyan is back on the court on Saturday afternoon for one final non-conference tune-up before conference play starts next week.
To this point, the Eagles are 2-1, with a win on opening night last weekend in Skiatook over Georgia Gwinnett College, 84-63, and a nine point win on Tuesday over MidAmerica Nazarene in their home opener, 76-69. Their lone loss was a three point defeat to Langston University last week in their second day in Skiatook, 73-70.
With a much younger core of players this year, head coach Donnie Bostwick talked about the youth of his team to start out the season.
The Eagles wrap up a short two game homestand against Texas Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. The Rams are 2-0 to this point after going unbeaten in the Nelson Classic in Waxahachie, Tex. TWU beat 13th ranked LSU Alexandria on Oct. 31, 82-81, and Southern University at New Orleans the next night, 77-66.
OKWU and TWU tip-off at 2 p.m. on Saturday from the Mueller Sports Center in Bartlesville. Coverage can be heard on Sports Talk, 99.1 FM - KPGM.
