OKWU Basketball Beats MANU in Home Opener

Oklahoma Wesleyan men's basketball picked up a win on Tuesday in their home opener over MidAmerica Nazarene, 76-69.
The Eagles shot the ball well all night long, they shot 51% from the field on the night. Four players finished in double figures, including Malachi Okunbor, who knocked down this three-pointer to tie the game midway through the first half.
Okunbor finished with 10 points in just seven minutes of game time.
The Eagles had their best first half of the season in the ballgame, they led the Pioneers, 44-32.
OKWU opened things up in the second half, stretching the halftime lead to 19 points. MidAmerica Nazarene did not stay out of the contest though, they responded with a 13-0 run to cut the deficit down to six.
This Ethan Williams bucket underneath helped seal it for the Eagles.
Williams finished the night with nine points. Humberto Kentish, Jr. led the way in scoring with 17 points, he was a perfect 6-6 shooting.
The win improves OKWU's record to 2-1 overall, they will be back on the court on Saturday afternoon at home for Texas Wesleyan University. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. Coverage can be heard on Sports Talk 99.1 FM - KPGM.
