Copan High football is probably in one of the best positions of any high school in Osage, Washington or Nowata counties. The Hornets picked up a monster win at Webber’s Falls this past Thursday.

Hornets won it, 44-14.

A 30-point win gave Webber’s Falls its largest loss of the season. A halfback pass got Copan’s offense going and the Hornets put the pedal to the metal in the second half.

Copan did not allow a point in the second half.

Head coach Trenton Kallenberger talks about how the Hornets did differently in the final 24 minutes on defense.

Zane Stricklin is starting to heat up at the Copan quarterback spot. The junior had 180 yards of offense, two touchdowns and a two-point conversion.

Up next for Copan, a game that will likely determine the Hornet’s District championship. Copan travels to Wilson. Wilson is 5-2 overall.

Kallenberger talks about the challenge of the game on Friday night.

Copan on the road at Wilson for its third road game in a row.
