College football statewide was not great on Saturday, as OU, OK-State and TU all lost on Saturday.

OU fell to Ole Miss in an entertaining game from Norman, 34-26.

Oklahoma’s defense, which had been great all season, struggled a bit more against the Rebels offense. The Sooners gave up 431 yards and 21 first downs. As a result, Ole Miss had the ball for 11 more minutes than OU.

Head coach Brent Venables talked on KYFM postgame.

Sooners drop to 6-2. They have another tough one at Tennessee on Saturday evening at 6:30.

Meanwhile Oklahoma State’s defense did OK against Texas Tech, but it was not a close game. Red Raiders topped the Pokes, 42-0. Cowboys are 0-7 and next go to Kansas.

Tulsa fell to Temple at home for homecoming in overtime, 38-27. TU is 2-6.
