Oklahoma Union football grinded out their first win of the season last week with a shorthanded staff over the Caney Valley Trojans, 12-8.

With the win, the Cougars are 1-6 overall and 1-3 in district play.

Head coach Bruce Munden talked about building off of the win, and the next opponent on the schedule.

The Cougars head into Tonkawa on Friday night, who is unbeaten in district play. The Buccaneers have just one loss on the season to 2A Stroud by five. They beat Pawhuska two weeks ago, 32-8.
