The Bartlesville Sports Commission inducted three individuals and one team into the Bartlesville Sports Hall of Fame in front of a packed house at The Center Friday evening.

Mike Epperson is one of the most acclaimed gymnasts to come out of Bartlesville. Epperson was a two-time NCAA All-American at Nebraska for gymnastics and was a part of the 1988 national championship team with the Huskers.

Former Bruin basketball standout Noah Hartsock was previously the record holder for points in a Bruin uniform until three years ago. Hartsock spent four years playing basketball at BYU from 2008-2012 then had a coaching career followed by success in the business world.

Coach Gerald Thompson, a longtime Bruin basketball coach, well-known for his impact on individual student athletes, still has a presence on the Bruin bench to this day.

The 1969 Doenges Ford Injuns is one of the best summer baseball teams in the program’s 90-year history. They remain the only Legion team to make it to the national Legion World Series. They went 40-11 en route to a state title, Winget championship and a qualifier to make the national World Series. There were six future NCAA Division 1 players on the squad.
