The Caney Valley Trojans are back on home soil on Friday night for their first district home game of the season against Tonkawa.

The Trojans are 0-4 this season following a loss on the road to Nowata last Friday, 26-0.

With a team still trying to find their identity this season, head coach Derrick Hammer talked about the commitment of his players during game week.

The Trojans meet Tonkawa next. The Buccaneers enter the contest 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in district play, following a 63-14 win over Quapaw last week. Tonkawa's only loss to this point is a five-point defeat in Stroud on Sept. 19.

Hammer talked about cleaning up some of the mistakes over the last few games.

The Trojans host the Buccaneers on Friday night in Ramona at 7 p.m.
