Had a chance to talk Bartlesville High football on Wednesday night with Bruin head coach Harry Wright and BHS starting quarterback Michael Kent during the Bruin Football Coach’s Show from Dink’s Pit BBQ.

Bartlesville is trying to get its first win of the 2025 season at home on Friday night against Claremore. The Bruins showed plenty of flashes of brilliant offense during their season opener against Newcastle this past Friday.

Kent was spectacular in his sophomore debut. He had nearly 420 yards of all-purpose offense.

Kent says he was confident after getting four starts at the end of his freshman season.

Kent had an uncanny ability to keep plays alive, particularly during a 28-point Bruin first half. He picked up multiple key fourth downs on BHS scoring drives.

Wright says he has confident to go for it on fourth downs.

Bartlesville and Claremore kickoff from Custer Stadium on Friday night at 7:00.

If you missed Wednesday night’s show it is archived on KWONTV.com.
