Bartlesville Defense Has Moments in Scrimmage

It is football game week across northeast Oklahoma, as nearly every high school in Osage, Washington and Nowata Counties will kick off their 2025 seasons on Friday night.
We will have a ton of coverage on BartlesvilleRadio.com and KWONTV.com this weekend.
At Bartlesville High, the Bruins will host Newcastle to begin the season. BHS fell in a scrimmage at Bishop Kelley on Thursday night. Despite the loss, Bartlesville had some good flashes. Twice the Bruin defense stopped BK after a first-and-goal to go situation.
Head coach Harry Wright says those have been spots where BHS has excelled in the past.
The Bruins will have practices today through Wednesday, a walkthrough on Thursday, then kickoff from Custer Stadium on Friday night at 7:00.
Don’t forget we will have our first installment of the Harry Wright Show, the weekly Bruin Football Coaches Show from Dink’s Pitt BBQ on Wednesday night at 6:00 on KWON and KWOTV.com to preview the opener later this week, too.
