Oologah Football Enters Year Two With Sam Noble

Oologah football is searching for a bounce back year in 2025, as they enter their second season under head coach Sam Noble.
Last fall, the Mustangs went 2-8, with just one district win in Noble's first season. Three of Oologah's losses last fall were within a possession. With a good mixture this season of youth and experience, Noble talked about his group maturing this offseason.
Oologah opens things up with a difficult non-district schedule in the exact same fashion as last year. The Mustangs meet Vinita, who they beat last season, followed up by two 5A schools in Collinsville and Claremore.
Noble said his group isn't afraid to play bigger schools.
Oologah has a scrimmage on Thursday at home with Pryor, featuring junior high, junior varsity and varsity talent to get prepared for the season opener.
The Mustangs open the 2025 campaign the following Thursday, Aug. 28, at home for Vinita.
