Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy met with the media on Saturday for the first time since the Cowboy’s fall camp began. Gundy answered a lot of questions about the Pokes’ quarterback battle.

Looks like OK-State will go with either Zane Flores or Hauss Hejny (HAY-KNEE). Flores was on the roster last fall but was injured. Hejny is a high regarded transfer from TCU.

Gundy says he has no timeline on naming a starter.

The Cowboys were in a similar position two years ago. After playing three quarterbacks evenly for weeks, the Pokes ultimately went with transfer Alan Bowman, who led OK-State to a Big 12 Title Game appearance.

Gundy talks more about the QB battle.

OK-State will open its season on Thursday, Aug 28 at home against UT Martin at 6:30. You can listen to Cowboy football this fall on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.
