A Bartlesville native is once again a champion in a PGA event.

Congrats to Andrew Lehman, a former Bartlesville Bruin, OKWU Eagle and current pro at Hillcrest Country Club for winning the South Central Section PGA Assistant Championship for the second time in five years.

Lehman shot a combined 138 through two rounds, netting a score of -6, three shots ahead of second place Andre Tourinho at -3.

With the sectional championship, Lehman automatically qualifies for the Assistant PGA Professional Championship from Nov. 13-16 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. at Wanamaker Course. If Lehman wins the assistant championship in Florida, he will qualify for the PGA Championship in 2026.

Lehman last won the south central section championship in 2021, and made the cut in the championship in Florida, finishing tied for 75th.
