Bartlesville's boys of summer officially wrapped up the 2025 summer on Friday at the state tournament in Ada, and with the summer complete, we take a look at the season that was for the Doenges Toyota Indians.

The Tribe played the most games in a summer in over a decade this year, with 50 games in a 59 day stretch. The Indians finished 24-26 overall, and won 12 of their last 17 games to close out the year.

The Indians played a large portion of their schedule against teams that were older than them, with lots of college talent against the Tribe.

Manager John Pannell said his group never stopped competing, despite being overmatched at times.

The Indians brought in a mixed bag of players in regards to experience, with some spending their first year with the Indians this summer, and others in their fifth year.

Pannell talked about watching the journey of his veteran group.

Throughout the summer, in every tournament the Indians played in, they made it to a championship round. The Tribe finished 2025 as the Glen Winget Tournament champions for the first time in seven years. They also finished as the runners-up at the state legion tournament in Ada last weekend.

We will continue to recap the season for the Doenges Toyota Indians throughout the week.
