Summer baseball in Bartlesville is finished, after the Doenges Toyota Indians fell in the state championship game to the Ada Braves on Friday, 10-5.

Earlier in the day, the Indians got to the state championship game after run-ruling the Ada A's again in six innings, 9-1.

Instant offense was the theme for the Indians on Friday morning. The Tribe scored three runs in the bottom of the first to hop in front, and stay in front for the rest of the game. This Zane Griggs single gave the Indians their first lead of the game.

Pitching for the Tribe showed out as well. Zane Stricklin threw a complete game, allowing just three hits over six innings. This strikeout in the sixth left two runners in scoring position for the A's.

The Tribe picked up two runs in their half of the sixth to walk-off into the state championship game, with the game-winning run scoring on this swing by Grant Clark.

The offense, in similar fashion to Thursday, came to life in the early innings. The Indians scored three of their five runs in the first two innings. Sam Marcella drove in one run on a single, Eddie Rice stretched the early lead to two on this single.

Defensively, things got sloppy on both sides. The Indians finished the ballgame with five errors, the Braves had seven. The Ada Braves capitalized on enough miscues from the Tribe in the late innings of the ballgame. The Braves scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to essentially put the game away.

The loss in Friday's state final ends the summer for the Doenges Toyota Indians. They finish 2025 with an overall record of 24-26.
