Fall sports are just about a month away, and Oklahoma Wesleyan men's soccer is looking to stay as one of the hottest programs in the country going into the new season.

Last fall, OKWU won their fifth straight Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championship, to advance to the program's 14th consecutive NAIA tournament as the 2nd ranked team in the nation.

Last year, they finished 22-2 overall and went perfect through conference play, at 13-0.

Head coach Jamie Peterson talked about the OKWU standard.

This fall, OKWU takes on four non-conference opponents, three of which advanced to the final site in last year's national tournament. The Eagles open the season against John Brown University in Bartlesville, who was one win away last fall from making the NAIA tournament.

Peterson said the early non-conference games play a big role late in the season.

OKWU also plays Baker University, Bellevue University and Mid-America Christian to round out the non-conference slate. The Eagles battle John Brown on Aug. 25.
