Champagne Kane of the Tri County Tech Foundation joined KWON's Community Connection to share exciting updates, including a new scholarship and the return of a major fundraising event.

The Foundation recently received a scholarship endowment from longtime education supporters Charlie and Julie Daniels. The funds will support student tuition and are designed to last indefinitely through interest earned from the endowment.

Kane also promoted the Foundation’s 3rd Annual Golf Tournament, set for Thursday, October 2 at Hillcrest Country Club. The event raises money for student tuition, emergency aid, and food assistance. Last year’s tournament brought in $34,500, and this year’s goal is even higher. Sponsors already on board include Truity Credit Union, Arvest Wealth Management, ConocoPhillips, and Bluepeak Fiber.

Golfers and sponsors can sign up at tricountytech.edu/golf. Registration opens at 11 a.m. with a noon shotgun start.

Kane highlighted Tri County Tech’s mission to help students graduate debt-free and emphasized the school’s focus on hands-on training, career alignment, and partnerships with local businesses. Enrollment is nearly complete for fall, with classes starting August 7.

Those interested in donating or scheduling a tour can contact Kane directly at 918-331-3333.
