A big day for the Osage Nation in Pawhuska.

The state-of-the-art, 60,000-square-foot Wahzhazhe Health Center officially opened to the public on Tuesday.

Osage Nation Health System Chief Operating Officer and Clinic Director Kirk Shaw says the new health center has been years in the making.

The new facility replaces the former 9,800-square-foot clinic on Grandview hill. Osage Nation Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear says this is a proud moment for his people.

The new health center includes expanded services, such as primary care, dental, optometry, behavioral health lab services and imaging.
