The SEC football Media Days are ongoing in Atlanta this week, as the conference takes center stage to promote the 2025 season of SEC football.

Georgia and Texas will headline day two of the event on Tuesday. Oklahoma and Sooner head coach Brent Venables will speak on Wednesday.

Most of the headlines out of Monday came from commissioner Greg Sankey and his comments on the future of the College Football Playoff.

Sankey says the current format of 12 with five guaranteed spots for conference champions will remain if the SEC and Big 10 cannot decide on qualifications for possible playoff expansion.

The Big 10 has reportedly favored an expanded format that would guarantee spots for specific conferences, while the SEC would prefer a 16-team format that includes five conference champions and 11 at-large bids.

Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia and Texas talk on Tuesday.

More on Sooner football and Brent Venables at the Media Days after they take the stage on Wednesday.

OU football airs this fall on 100.1 – KYFM.
