Osage County has $3.9 million in excess CBRI funds that they have been saving for a rainy day. At Monday's Osage County Commissioners meeting, District Two Commissioner Steve Talburt said he thought the time was now to use that money to make road improvements.

District Three Commissioner Charlie Cartwright gave an example of how he could use those funds to work on a project and District One Commissioner Anthony Hudson said there are several roads his crews are always working on.

Talburt made a motion to allow each district to use $200,000 in an effort to improve Osage County roads. That motion passed.

Also at Monday's meeting, the Board signed the treasurer's annual SA&I report and the treasurer's yearly financial statement. There was one utility permit singed for district two.

The Board of Osage County Commissioners will have its next regularly scheduled meeting at 10 a.m. next Monday at the fairgrounds.
