Caney Valley Trojans football is inching closer to kickoff under first year head coach Derrick Hammer, as fall camp will be here shortly after the OSSAA mandated dead period is over.

Since seeing his group in action for the first time in 7-on-7 summer ball, Hammer said there were lots of positives to build on.

The Trojans have a young group rolling into Ramona for the 2025 season. Hammer spoke on the progression of his group since taking over.

As far as the season goes, the Trojans will open against Barnsdall on Aug. 29.
