We are a few weeks away from fall sports starting to ramp up across Northeast Oklahoma. Volleyball and cross country can begin practices in a few days. However, even winter sports have plenty to do during the summer. Bartlesville High girls’ basketball has been hard at work over the past few months.

BHS will miss a couple of key starters off last year’s team but return three and much of their scoring. Head coach Justyn Shaw is back for his fifth season with the Lady Bruins.

Shaw talks about what the Lady Bruins have been up to since school was out.

Bartlesville returns leading scoring Sami Shaeffer along with key cogs in the backcourt in Emma Zimmerman and Kenzie Denny.

The Lady Bruins went to a couple different team camps and have played nearly 20 games to up competition this summer.

Shaw details how Bartlesville faired.

Shaeffer continues to get looks at the NCAA D1 and D2 level, she will be a senior this fall for BHS.
Bartlesville is coming off a 13-12 season with a loss to Broken Arrow in the 6A Regionals.
