Former Montgomery County, Kansas Sheriff Bobby Dierks was arrested over the Fourth of July Weekend. According to the Cowley County Jail Roster, Dierks was arrested for driving under the influence, transporting an open container and failure to report an accident.

In April, Dierks joined Bo Rupert in filing a complaint about a domestic incident that happened with a sheriff's deputy in 2021. KGGF reached out to Rupert for a comment on the Dierks' arrest. He says he wasn't with Dierks when it happened but he has spoken to him.

Rupert says he has no evidence that Dierks was drunk and he doesn't believe that he was.  According to Rupert, Dierks was released earlier today. You can hear the full conversation with Rupert here.

*Editor's note: there was one word said in the interview that goes against FCC regulations so it was muted.*
