A 10-year old juvenile who went missing in Osage County on Saturday afternoon was returned home safely later that night. A report from the News on 6 states that her abductor has died. 
 

Investigators say Jimmie Schimmels, who the family called "uncle" despite not being related, abducted the girl near Shidler. Deputies then tracked Schimmels' cell phone to a remote ranch near the Oklahoma and Kansas state line. 
 

Once they found the hidden car, a twenty mile chase ensued. He briefly stopped at the juvenile's house where she was able to get out, but he sped off again and crashed a short time later. Schimmels died of injuries sustained in the crash. There was a gun found in the vehicle.
