Bartlesville’s boys of summer have dropped a couple in a row, as the Doenges Toyota Indians fell in a single nine inning game on Friday night.

RBI Native used enough Tribe defensive miscues to beat the Indians 13-6.

Bartlesville was shorthanded, without four of its regular starters, many of which are infielders. Despite the star power, the Indians kept it a game most of the evening. It was seven Indian errors that led to eight unearned RBI Native runs.

After giving up two runs in the top of the first, Zane Stricklin came through with a big two-out knock that tied the game in the bottom half.

Stricklin won our Kevin Lynch RE/MAX Player of the Game honors, he was the only member of the Tribe with multiple hits.

He doubled and scored in the fourth inning to keep the Indians hanging around.

Bartlesville was good enough on offense, scoring six runs on six hits.

Bryce Sickler came on in relief of Sam Marcella, who had a good start. Sickler struck out seven in his first two innings, including this one in the eighth.

The Indians wrap up their homestand on Saturday with a 4:00 first pitch against the same RBI Native club. This is a pair of seven inning games we will carry for you on KWON and KWONTV.com.

Bartlesville is 11-18 on the summer.
