City of Nowata Releases City Alerts

The City of Nowata is reminding residents of upcoming dates and events.
Friday is the last day for elderly and handicapped citizens to place work orders for the city to pick up limbs after the severe storms. Limbs must be no longer than six feet, bundled and placed by the street. The city will pick up limbs from work orders until July 3. To place a work order, residents are asked to call 918-273-3538.
Business licenses and occupational tax certificates will expire on Monday, June 30. Business license applications are available at city hall and at nowataok.gov. Businesses must bring a copy of their Oklahoma tax documents, and able documents are required for occupation tax certificates.
The City of Nowata also announced that the Fourth of July celebration is set for 12 p.m. at Jack Gordon Park, starting with the Nowata Fire Department’s annual food fundraiser.
